Medios Federales S.A.S., with registered address at 25 de mayo 491, Montevideo, Uruguay (“Medios Federales” or “We”) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal data (“Personal Data”) of its clients and interested parties (“Affiliated Media” or “You”).
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) aims to inform You which Personal Data we collect, how we process it, and the details of your rights as a data subject. This Privacy Policy applies together with the Terms and Conditions and the Insert Order duly accepted by You.
The provisions herein apply exclusively to the information collected through the Medios Federales platform (the “Platform”). In this regard, it provides a general description of our privacy practices and the choices You may exercise in this regard, as well as the rights You have in relation to Your Personal Data that we process.
In the event that You send us or share Personal Data about third parties, You declare and warrant that You have obtained the necessary and sufficient consent to authorize the use of that information under the terms of this Privacy Policy as required by applicable law.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy:
“Personal Data” refers to any information that identifies or may identify a natural or legal person. In this sense, personal data includes, among others, name, date of birth, and address;
“Sensitive Personal Data” refers to any information that reveals ethnic or racial origin, religion or religious belief, political opinion, membership in a union or organization of a religious, philosophical, or political nature, data relating to health or sex life, genetic or biometric data in relation to the holder of the personal data;
“Processing of Personal Data” refers to any operation carried out in relation to Personal Data, whether by automatic means or not, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, use, disclosure, dissemination, making available, association, linking, restriction, deletion, or destruction. Any other operation established under the terms of the applicable legislation to this Policy shall also be considered Processing of Personal Data;
“Data Protection Laws” refers to all provisions of applicable legislation that regulate or address the Processing of Personal Data, including, but not limited to, Law No. 18.331 and any provisions and resolutions eventually issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
You authorize Medios Federales to collect through the Platform: (i) contact data such as name, nickname, phone number, and email address; and (ii) specific data You choose to provide in connection with the requested service.
You are not obligated to share with Medios Federales any Personal Data that we may request from you; however, if you choose not to share it, in some cases we may not be able to provide you full access to the Platform or some features of our service, we may not be able to respond efficiently to any of your inquiries, or the performance of the service provided may even be affected. In this regard, in cases where your consent is required to carry out a specific activity, we will duly inform you of the consequences of not granting it.
We collect and use your Personal Data to manage your relationship with Medios Federales and provide you with better service when you use the Platform's services, personalizing and improving your experience and performance.
By contracting the services of Medios Federales, You agree to the processing of your personal data, whether sensitive or not.
Medios Federales may share your Personal Data:
With third parties, for the purpose of managing the Platform and providing you with better service, always under a confidentiality obligation;
In the event of an audit, potential reorganization, sale, partnership, assignment, merger, with potential acquirers and/or their advisors, always under a confidentiality obligation;
With financial institutions and any other company that may be necessary to provide the Services offered through the Platform;
With third-party acquirers of any reorganization, sale, merger, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or transfer of all or part of our company (including those related to insolvency or similar proceedings), who may become the controllers responsible for Processing Personal Data, always under a confidentiality obligation; and
With entities belonging to the same corporate group/company or companies associated with Medios Federales.
The Personal Data of Affiliated Media will under no circumstances be used by third-party service providers for any purpose other than that indicated by Medios Federales and for which it was transferred. In addition, third-party providers will always process Personal Data following Medios Federales' instructions, which at all times will be consistent with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
International transfers of Personal Data.
In the event that it is necessary to transfer Personal Data, Medios Federales will adopt the necessary measures so that the Personal Data has a level of protection equivalent to that we have adopted and, when necessary, we will use the international data transfer mechanism required by data protection laws.
You expressly understand and accept that your Personal Data may be shared, or transferred outside your country of residence for processing in accordance with the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Duration of processing.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we process the information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Records may be kept in various formats (physical or electronic).
The Personal Data collected under the agreements signed by the Affiliated Media is retained for 2 (two) years once the contract ends, in accordance with our legitimate interests in defending against any legal claim that may be brought against us.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may retain your Personal Data for a longer period when such retention is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person, or when we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
User rights:
You may, at any time, exercise the rights granted to you as a data subject by the Personal Data Protection Laws; among others, You may request Medios Federales:
confirmation that your Personal Data is being processed;
access to your Personal Data;
correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive data, or data processed in violation of the law;
deletion of Personal Data processed with your consent, to the extent permitted by law;
the name of the entities with which Medios Federales has shared your Personal Data;
information about the possibility of not providing consent and its consequences; and
revocation of consent.
Your requests will be handled at all times with special care so that we can guarantee the effectiveness of your rights. In this regard, we may ask you to provide proof of your identity to ensure that Personal Data is shared only with its owner.
In certain cases (for example, due to legal issues or our own technical limitations), your request may not be fulfilled immediately and/or Medios Federales may not be able to comply due to the need to comply with legal obligations.
The data protection authority in your country of residence has the power to handle complaints and/or claims brought by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with the current rules regarding the protection of Personal Data.
Security of Personal Data
In our organization, we seek to adopt all technical and organizational measures provided for in the Data Protection Laws and that are appropriate for the protection of Personal Data. However, we cannot guarantee that any data transmission or storage system is 100% (one hundred percent) secure. In this regard, if You have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately.

The Platform may have or display hypertext links that will redirect You to other websites. If You click on one of those links, we remind You that each site has its own privacy practices and that we are not responsible for those policies. Please review those policies before sending Personal Data to these sites.
Medios Federales is not responsible for the collection, use, and disclosure policies and practices of other organizations or any third party, including but not limited to software developers, application providers, and social media platforms. We recommend that you learn about the privacy policy of each website you visit or each service provider you use.
Use of the Platform by Minors
The Platform is in no case intended for persons under 18 (eighteen) years of age, and we request that such persons do not provide us with any personal data.
Updates to this Privacy Policy
If we modify our Privacy Policy, we will publish the new text on the Platform, with the updated revision date. Medios Federales may change this Privacy Policy at any time. If there is a material change in the terms of this Privacy Policy, we may notify you through the contact information we have in our database or by a notification on our Platform, and we will request your consent if necessary under the Personal Data Protection Laws.
We remind You that we are committed not to process your Personal Data in a manner inconsistent with the purposes described above, unless otherwise required by law or a court order.
